Privacy Policy

Petomall (“we”, “us”) operates the Petomall website and mobile app for pet parents in India. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account details you give us: name, mobile number, email, date of birth, gender and city.
- Pet profiles: pet name, species, breed, age, weight, photos and health records you choose to upload.
- Booking and order data: services booked, providers chosen, products purchased, delivery address and order history.
- Payment data: processed by our payment partner Razorpay. We store only the transaction reference, amount and status — never your full card or UPI credentials.
- Location data: with your permission, approximate location to show providers in your city. You can decline and pick a city manually.
- Technical data: device type, browser, IP address and app usage events used to keep the service secure and reliable.
How we use your information
- To create your account, authenticate you via OTP and keep your session secure.
- To fulfil bookings, product orders, memberships and online vet consultations.
- To share the minimum necessary details with the service provider, vendor or veterinarian handling your request.
- To send transactional messages (OTP, booking confirmations, invoices) and, if you opt in, offers and updates.
- To detect fraud, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations.
Health and prescription records
- Prescriptions issued during an online consultation are stored against your pet profile and are visible only to you and the issuing veterinarian.
- If you generate a secure share link for a prescription, anyone holding that link can view the document until the link is revoked. Share it only with people you trust.
Sharing and disclosure
- We never sell your personal data.
- We share data with service providers you book, delivery partners, payment processors, communication providers (SMS/video) and cloud hosting vendors, strictly to run the service.
- We may disclose data where required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users, pets or Petomall.
Analytics, advertising and cookies
- We use Google Analytics (Google LLC) to measure visits and how the website and app are used, and Google Ads (Google LLC) to measure which of our ads lead to visits, sign-ups, bookings, consultations, orders and memberships, and to improve our ad campaigns.
- For this, Google receives your device and browser details, IP address, pages viewed, ad-click identifiers, and the event itself (for example “booking confirmed” with its booking reference, amount and service category). We do not send your name, phone number, email or pet health details to Google.
- Visitors in the EU/EEA, UK and Switzerland (or where we cannot tell your region) are asked first, and nothing is sent to Google until they agree. Analytics and advertising can be accepted separately.
- You can change or withdraw your choice anytime via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page; a withdrawal stops future measurement straight away. Your choice, the date and the version of this notice are stored in your browser.
- You can also control ad personalisation in your Google account at adssettings.google.com.
Data retention and security
- We keep your data for as long as your account is active, and afterwards only where needed for tax, accounting or legal purposes.
- Data is encrypted in transit, access is role-restricted, and database access is protected by row-level security policies.
Your rights
- You can access, correct or delete your profile and pet data from the app at any time.
- You can request full account deletion by writing to support@petomall.com; we action verified requests within 30 days.
- You can opt out of promotional messages without losing access to transactional ones.
Children
- Petomall is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
